03:45 pm - Wicked Faire '09! (updated!)
Yep it's fast approaching us again and this time Carrie/Shae and I are up to no good as usual. What's that mean? Simple really...we're getting a whole mess of rooms. Looking at a suite plus 3 more. Why? We like space and causing chaos damnit!
So...who wants to go, who needs a room and who doesn't mind sharing with some of the biggest crazies in the world?
As of right now the room folks are looking like Shae, Nightshade, Christine, Tim, Kate, Digi and myself. So that leaves plenty of space for folks. The breakdown is as follows:
3 beds open as well as floor space in the suite and other rooms. So that's room for a good few folks. 6 bed spots and probably about 8 floor spots.
Any takers out there? We of course will have massive amounts of booze and food on hand as always. Not to mention the K&S parties which are usually down right bizarre.
Before you ask the event is Feb 20th-22nd in Whippany NJ at the Hanover Marriot. Rooms are going fast so if you want to hang with the crazies that take over the event every year....this is your chance. Speak now or we'll hunt you down. ~.^

So right now we have LESS SPACE! That's right...TWO spaces were taken up in the past hour or so here.

01:44 am - Wicked Winter III
Yep only about 16 hours til Wicked Winter III. Looking forward to this one quite a bit. First event since Pennsic and well Carrie and I are NOT doing the pirate thing. Amazing ain't it? Just didn't feel like it and after 7 years of the same thing we need a break, need to change things up. What are we doing? Well you'll either have to come out to see us Friday and Sat or just wait for the pictures to show up some time next week. I know it's a tease but I have to do what I have to. Besides it's hard to describe what's going on really. Have no fear though, we haven't abandoned our pirate ways. We are after all going to Pyrate Con in New Orleans the 18th-20th of April. Not to mention we're doing faire and other things this year as well.
Either way Wicked Winter has always been a great time for both of us and hopefully that tradition continues. We need it right now. There's really not much to do out here and the weather has been too shitty to go into the city and do anything that's outside. I think we're both just bored stupid. I know I have been ately. Been doing a lot of writing though which is a good thing. Haven't done that in quite a while. It feels feels good to get some of that old creative energy flowing again.
Well...I must finish doing costuming stuff now...
More after the weekend with pics and tales from the insanity. I may do a little "real time" blogging while there as well. So stay tuned.

04:44 pm - Specialty floors at Wicked - important update
Dear friends,
We began trying to institute special floors at Wicked Events a few years back. The intention was to help both our attendees, and the hotel; our attendees could have sleeping arrangements which better matched their sleeping habits and styles, and the hotel could more easily handle both our group, and other people who were mixed in with our group.
With Wicked Faire, wherein we patently had the numbers, and had requested the whole hotel--and had a contractual lock on all of Saturday night's rooms--this, in particular, should have been a snap.
But with recent developments--the hotel's reluctance to help us move people into the rooms they requested, apparent mixing of people into our room block, and recently, releasing holds on some rooms--we can no longer make absolute guarantees about the floors.
And we definitely can't make sure you got the kind of room you requested--this was always something we tried to do as a courtesy, because the hotel seems to be very poor with placing people as they request. But we can no longer really do this.
We'll still try. And there are now some more rooms available because they were apparently dropped from our block. Please do get them--lest people from outside our block get them instead. So please do fill out our hotel room form.
But... we can't guarantee placement at this point.
Remember, folks: getting a different room than you requested is a serious violation of IHG policy and possibly the law. Call 888-HOLIDAY if you get there and aren't in the kind of room for which you have a hotel confirmation.

The Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire III: The Old Gods Are Coming, Look Busy - February 15 and 16, the Marriott of Hanover, NJ.
So go forth and do what ya must...or else I'll hunt you down and feed you brussel sprouts
